The moment I opened the bottle, that sharp, garden-fresh basil hit my nose exactly like tearing leaves off the stem. A tiny splash over warm pasta transformed the whole dish, and the verdant color alone makes it worth it.
Drizzled it over a simple caprese salad and the basil flavor hit immediately—like fresh leaves, not that fake herb taste. The extract really does keep it bright and green-tasting, which is exactly what I wanted.
Pouring this over fresh mozzarella and tomatoes tonight, the sheer freshness hit me first — that garden aroma is spot on, like a whole basil plant just got crushed into the bottle. It’s not oily or heavy at all, just a clean, verdant lift that makes a simple salad taste like a trattoria dish.
